How to Tie Your Belt

How to Tie Your Belt

For Kids (the simple way)

  1. Fold the belt in half to find the centre of your belt and place it just below your navel.
  2. Wrap the belt around your waist, cross over at the back and then bring the two ends to the front.
  3. Put the left end over all the belt including the right end and wrap under all the layers of the belt pulling it out at the top on the right side of centre (this is now the right tail).
  4. Now place the top right tail over and under the bottom left and bring it up and put it through the hole and pull tight.
  5. The two tails should now both be an even length hanging down and the knot centred in front (new belts will be stiff and may sit up until they soften).
  6. Bow on, train hard and have fun.

Adults (no cross over or lump at the back)

  1. Know your belt and how long the tails are when it is tied.
  2. Hold the belt with the correct tail length at the front in your right hand and place it on your navel.
  3. Wrap the belt around your waist twice clockwise making sure you don’t twist the belt.
  4. Put the left end over all the belt including the right end and wrap under all the layers of the belt pulling it out at the top on the right side of centre (this is now the right tail).
  5. Now place the top right tail over and under the bottom left and bring it up and put it through the hole and pull tight.
  6. The two tails should now both be an even length hanging down and your knot centred in front (new belts will be stiff and may sit up until they soften).
  7. Bow on, train hard and have fun.
